I then checked the BA website this morning and my exact flight is being sold for £80 !!

I rang the executive club to be told "Oh im not really sure I can't see pounds on my screen...the prices are in euros"

Any suggestions as to how I can claw back some of this money from BA?
Welcome to FT !

Unless your flight ticket is fully refundable then you are unfortunately out of luck ! - As with many purchases in life the price is subject to change (after you have purchased) and the price may go up or down.

If it had gone up I'm sure you woudn't be offering to pay BA the extra

If the price you see is the price you like / agree to and pay then you are getting what you have agreed to pay for - best rule on a non refundable is never to check the price after you have purchased !
