Yes. I was on QF1, reboarded at BKK and there was a lady sitting in the seat I'd been allocated SYD/LHR. (I'd checked in in WLG and been checked all the way through). Cabin crew asked me to take seat on one of the crew seats while they figured out what to do. After about 15 mins one of the crew came back and asked me to follow him. I ended up in 23B in J and still remember getting an evil glare from the lady in 'my' Y seat! I blame that experience for now needing to travel in J on flights over 4 hours!
I had similar experience about 10 years ago on flight from Vienna to Australia on OS where I was op-uped to business class when my seat in whY (emergency exit) was already occupied. I too now blame them

for the fact that since then I never ever fly in whY on flights over 3 hours of duration...
