* When you say "corporate owned" Hertz locations for use of the free day certificates...what do you mean exactly?
* What constitutes a "Weekly" rate with Hertz? how many days?

* Are the Free Day certificates truly free days, or are they some kind of rent X days, get Y free?

* Can you combine this business account CDP number with other coupons (like $ off, free tank of gas, etc.)?

* Can we also still eanr Hertz #1 award points for these rentals?

1) I am not certain as to what constitutes a weekly rate in terms of the rental credit. This is something new that Hertz started last quarter. My guess is that it would be 5 to 7 days.

2)The free rental days are really free. Each rental location seems to apply them a bit differently. For example, in Orlando I usually end up paying a couple of dollars even if I have free day coupons for each day. On the other hand, we rented from Steamboat, CO two weeks ago and I wasn't charged a cent. In any case, I've never paid more than $10 for a seven day rental using free coupons. The way the reservation works is that you call Hertz and let them know how many free day certificates you are going to redeem. You make the reservation at your corporate rate and they apply the free rental days upon the actual rental counter at the airport. You can use #1 Club Gold, but you usually have to go to a counter upon your return of the car. Sometimes larger locations can process the coupons with the hand held machines.

3) Yes, you can combine your CDP # with other promotions like a free rental day or $10 off. In fact, Hertz will send you a bunch of coupons each quarter along with your statement. There are always upgrade coupons in there and usually dollars off coupons.

4) You can still earn Hertz #1 award points and FF mile points.

5) The free rental day certificates are only valid at corporate owned locations. These are usually larger airports; however, I found that Boise, Idaho is not a corporate owned location, but a place like Steamboat was. It makes little sense to me. About six months ago, Hertz added Europe and Canada as valid redemption locations.

6) I forgot to mention that free rental day certificates are valid for about one year. Since there is a lag in receiving them, they're really only good for about 10 months.
