Thanks everyone.. This would have been a big plus to have the foreign exchange fees waived. Thanks for answering this question in its' light.
Next time I call American Express I will receive an update on the foreign exchange fee, but looks like its not going to be waived as I've hoped.
My wife did become confirmed as an AMEX Platinum AeroplanPlus card holder.. we've got the card for her so whe can be a Fairmont President's Club Platinum Holder.. was hoping the foreign exchange fees savings would make it more valuable to hold the card more than a year.
