I prefer row 9 over 16 only because I don't have to wait to exit the aircraft. I will also choose row 16 over row 8 because a good window seat is a must.
I agree with others about face space. I rarely sit outside of seat 1A on the 57 for this reason. Although, if 1A is taken, I will sit in rows 2-5 over 1D.
