I asked a Thrifty web agent why there was no obvious way to find its AAA rate and she said the following: "We give AAA rates, but we can't advertise that because Hertz has the contract."

I don't know exactly what this means, but it's probably worthwhile to check other companies before assuming that only Hertz gives a AAA rate.

In my case, Hertz's AAA rate was more than double Thrifty's.
