The room was lack-luster in decor at best. Bathroom had many stains on the floor and the insulation between rooms made it so we felt like our neighbors were sharing a room with us. Terrible!!!
I'm really surprised.

I've never had a problem getting a chair at the pool (2 people) any time of the day (edge pool or super pool). The edge pool can get crowded but not overflowing and usually I see, even on weekends, more than 20 chairs at the big pool at any given time, never seen them full.

I'm also surpised by "lack-luster" decor. Have you been there recently? They spent a lot on renovations and the entire hotel was completely remodeled. I stay all over the US/worldwide and I think the rooms are as nice/better as I see in the SPG system. Bathroom stains? Did you ask for another room? I've never heard my neighbors in my room regarding your insulation comment - my usual frustration (it isn't really) is the band playing at the Edge pool when I'm ready for a nap after an afternoon of cocktails.
