It seems that the cooperation between Singapore Airlines and Air India leaves it AI/IC out from being able to sell a single ticket from Singapore to London via Chennai and later Delhi or Mumbai - at least via their website.

I tried calling the Air India office in London but they have not been able to issue a single ticket from SIN-LHR. Do you know if this is possible and if the price would be reasonable?

I know a ticket from MAA-LHR costs around Rs 37,000 or about £500 is quite reasonable. However, I don't see why they should charge £300 for Y-class from SIN-MAA. I could take a cheap SIN-MAA flight but it wouldn't be seamless.

Any advice or recommendations?
