Went with my parents, 18 month old toddler and husband to The Mall early this morning and watched the buses, cars and coaches file past, popped into a nearby building to see the ceremony, have some refreshments and (with eerily good timing) change a nappy. Came out, rejoined my parents and saw the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge ride past.

Had a wonderful time, hope the rest of their married life is as successful as today was and would like nothing better than to have the opportunity to do the same thing again for one of their children's wedding (or civil partnership - who knows?) days in the future.

I would hope that everyone else who was out and about today with a smile on their face and so had such a vital part in making the day such a very special one also have a successful life ahead, but that's a lot to ask, so I earnestly hope that we/you/they all thoroughly enjoy the rest of the weekend.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be one of the crowd today. Cheers!
