I was hoping it would work like in Bangkok, where the flight from US arrives at midnight, we stay in the transit area, the luggage is checked all the way to Chiang Mai.
We usually sit in the resting area for few hours and then just board the early morning plane to Chiang Mai and go through the passport control and customs there.
it seems no such luck in Lima.

Would you know, in case, our luggage does not arrive with us, is the lost luggage claim office opened at around midnight?
