Carrying all-in-one computer as hand luggage

I bought a HP All-in-One PC 21.5" screen that I am very fond of. When I return to Singapore (flying SQ from LAX), I would like to bring it back with me.

Can anyone suggest how I might do this? I think it's not a good idea to check it in since it might get damaged or stolen.

Can it fit into hand luggage that is allowed onboard (21.5" screen all in one)? What if I put it in a soft duffel bag that can stretch a bit? I don't mind passing it to the flight crew on boarding and retrieving it at the other end, but I do want to carry it. Can I pre-arrange with SQ - I don't mind paying abit for it. It's quite important as it has all my software and special data that is not easy to back up to hard disk.

Thanks!
