I'm curious as well how the 5Star Gold Level works. I'm sure I've qualified as I have more than 10 rentals in this calendar year as specified by the policy...but what do I get?

It says that upgrades are done "on availability". This week in SNA, I was pleasantly surprised to find a SUV in my Gold stall, but I wasn't sure if that was by accident (no cars in my class (F) available) or if it was an "upgrade".

It was nice but it doesn't happen very often so I wonder if it really was because of the elite status. Plus Hertz doesn't seem to advertise it very much. You have to go into the Gold Members area to see the level information.
