As to Q2-a, that is a *A award, even the redemption consist of a single carrier.

I am not familiar with the rule to combine miles of family members.
This rule was introduced for Japan resident member a year ago but only for ANA credit card holders.

"Partner Flight Awards" stated on ANA web site may sometimes includes a *A award because *A carrierrs are also pertners, but not sure this time.

I looked through the ANA web site about the family combined miles, but I could not find any rule that the miles can not be redeemed for a *A award.
One thing I found was that the family combined miles can not be used for a *A upgrade.

So, there may be a different rule between *A partners and non-*A partners although the rule is hidden.
