From what I could see here, as well, I think the xx36 would be my preferred view since I like the mix of waikiki beach, hotels and diamond head, but the xx02 bedroom view has the view of diamond head, but waikiki is obstructed slightly by the rest of the tower.
But truth be told, from the photos I've seen online, agree that both are spectacular. And if I over heard this conversation publicly on the street or in the airport, it would definitely warrant a very large
Yes, xx02 living room lanai directly over ocean. xx02 bedroom faces diamond head. You have a good view of Waikiki but the building will be on your left. Outside the bedroom lanai, it overlooks the edge pool and you can hear/watch the band if you wish. One other thing to note, if you are into sunsets, the xx02 living room provides the sunset view. This suite is a bit of walk to the end of the hallway towards the ocean.
xx36 is more of an unobstructed waikiki/diamond head view. The suite is noticably larger than xx02 (and xx02 is a good size). No sunset view from these suites. These suites are right off the elevator.
You can't go wrong with either option.
