Purchase every available coach seat for your family and friends (plus a couple more). Make sure their status does not trump yours. You'll have a good shot at a nice, comfy BizE seat and a lot of friends!

Somehow disable the plane that flies the route before yours does. That'll give you a good shot as everyone else tries to get on your flight. Also a lot cheaper than buying out your flight, but it also has its risks.
