Yep, sometimes we have to suck it up and fly with a boring, humorless, full of red tape airline like UA or DL. They are the only ones that go non-stop from A to B.
Sometimes you have to suck it up and fly with Southwest, because DL doesn't go between your A and your B.
Its best to avoid what you don't like.
Things are rough all over.
However, think about the person that was nervous about flying that day, and heard your joke about sunroofs. I'll bet they really appreciated it.
