I'm doing something similar in July:

CVG->DTW (J) ->LHR
FCO->CDG (W)->ATL->CVG

I figured the J lie-flat seating would be good for the overnight leg, while W was good enough on the way home.

If you fly AF W class before mid-July, please post about the experience.
