Note, that at least LH will cover their EU duty of care costs (food & hotel if required). KLM refuses to arrange hotels if you miss a connection (on same ticket) due to weather or ATC.

However, 40 min connection at MUC is normally fine and it sounds like a fun weekend!
Correct. Connections are a grey area and you would need to depart ZRH very late and arrive in SIN late to even have a chance of arguing this case.

And in my personal experience LH will also put up a fight to pay the duty of care cost.
