Has anyone managed to book a six-segment European business fare in J booking class recently? In 2009, when cheap J Promo fares were all the rage, six segment fares were easy to book but not now, it seems.

The JSWISSUK fare for LHR-GVA-ZRH-PRG-ZRH-GVA-LHR prices out at 364GBP on ITA (e.g. 20-23 May), which is still pretty decent. The LX website doesn't tend to offer double connections though and the LH website pushes the fare up to Z class when the extra connection is added (despite there being J space on all sectors and the JSWISSUK fare rules supposedly allowing "unlimited transfers").

I checked with a LX agent at LHR who was also unable to book the fare (nor offer an explanation as to why he couldn't). The best he could do was 3 segments out and 2 back - adding the extra segment for the return knocked out all J availability on all the flights.

It would be useful to know if this or similar routes are indeed possible (at no or little extra cost) before Friday, when I must decide on my "My choice" route which is likely to be either LHR-GVA or LHR-ZRH. The double connection is not vital but could come in handy IF M&M repeat their double status promo later this year - if my calculations are correct, under such circumstances, the above route would give 21750 award miles and 24750 status miles including exec bonus!
