"Should I be writing to my Representative as well? Do they have as much to do with this or as much influence on it as the Senate? Chaffetz is in the HoR, I know, but he's also on a special subcommittee so I'm not sure how much difference that makes.
Oh, and consider these public-domain if you want to write your own Congresspeople. Copy them verbatim, modify them, use them as starters for totally different letters, whatever. "
Yes you should write your Congresspeople also. There are more ant-TSA people there than un the Senate. I've written to my own Senators and Congresspeople (Texas) and got canned reply's about balancing security and privacy blah blah. I think these people all use the same batch of replies, they probably have antern keeep track of the number of letters for and against each topic. One letter I got back was so well crafted I posted it here and had to ask if it was for against what the TSA was doing because I could not tell. The one personal reply I got was signed with a name and he said he was an intern.
I will copy your letters and send another round.
