A nasty idea about using the recent LH promo

Alright, just had the LH Asia specials in my inbox, they offer PEK or NKG for 519 CHF, SHA for 549 CHF and SIN for 649 CHF. (From ZRH-MUC-XXX or ZRH-FRA-XXX)

Given that PEK is the shortest, NKG doesn't have daily operations allowing a SAT arrival / SUN departure and SHA is slightly more expensive for almost same milage, I'm thinking of going to SIN.

It will net around 10k miles for ZRH-FRA-SIN return in L (50%+25% FTL Bonus)

AND I'll only have 40min connection time in MUC, and being back on Monday morning at the airport (which would be very convienient, as I'll have a flight off ZRH just 4 hours later - enough in case the plane would be delayed on the way back, and also enough for some massive breaky in the lounge.

I could have a nice weekend in SIN, some cheap and nice hawker food, maybe a trip down to Sentosa, 10k miles and that all for less than 650 CHF, sounds pretty tasty to me. Oh, and my idea would be to actually hope for some delay on the first ZRH-MUC flight, so my 40min connection won't happen.. (that is extremely tight anyway even if perfectly on time, right?)

Anyone has an idea if they still could get me down to SIN almost on time? Would EU compensation also work in that case? I'm really a newbie regarding compensation rules, so any help would be massively valuated. If I could get them to have me pay 400 or 600 Euro, it would be almost/paid flight, with free miles to go as bonus..

Do? Don't do?

And of course if any FT'er want to join, let's discuss dates

/edit: Already booked. Minimum connection time in MUC is 30min, so I guess I'll make it.. if not, LH is paying me the trip most probably

I know that the value-for-miles is pretty bad, but at least I get free food and drinks, some movies and the flight MUC-SIN seems to be pretty full already
