As an Ambassador, you will maintain a minimum of Gold status by virtue of being an Ambassador. iirc, it is only Royal Ambassador members that are ensured platinum status

If you are doing enough stays to make Ambassador worthwhile, then signing up to the promotions should make it reasonably feasible to keep platinum
