I also had similar issues on my flight out of Vegas on Monday after Easter(4/25). Our plane coming in from PHL was delayed, so everyone wanted to rush departure. The line-up started before anything was called, so that was a bit messy.
There was also an overhead bin issue that I had (detailed in another post--so won't go into it here).
Only one FA standing at the door (we had two on our inbound--with one of them doing PDB's) and I chalked up not getting a PDB to the rushed boarding.
Once in the air though, our FA was very attentive! Regulary kept our drinks filled up and even topped of with ice. It is certainly true, the FA can make or break your experience!
