Anyway, I only fly for vacation, and that's only once or twice per year, almost always to Orlando. The airports I use, BWI and MCO, both have MMW, not backscatter, and on my last trip MCO wasn't using them as primary but they were at BWI, so I only got it one way. So basically, I've only been nuked once, and there is at least a slim chance that I can avoid it this year, too.
So, for the moment at least, the repugnancy of these scanners is not sufficient to prevent me from flying, but the repugnancy of a pat-down IS. I'll swallow my pride and endure the one or two scans per year until the public rises up or the SCOTUS strikes the scanners down, but I will NOT allow them to touch me, ever, period.
Well, I've seen people get a pat-down after they cleared the body scanner. I know a girl who had nothing underneath her clothing (wore skin tight clothing and leggings) but still got patted down in her crotch area after using the backscatter. Best of luck to you!!
