I know I am resurrecting this thread .. But hey better in here than start a new thread.

I am looking into staying 1 night (maybe 2) in vancouver to see some of the city. I've never been to BC before and I have a meeting in Victoria so I thought I'd stop for a day or two in Vancouver.

I guess the two viable options are Hilton Metrotown and Hampton Inn Downtown. Prices are comparable (20-30 dollars difference). For someone who's going sightseeing for a day or two, which property you'd recommend?
