Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience transferring points from Marriott Rewards to Star Alliance?

I used to have my MR set up so that everything got rolled into *A (OnePass, technically). This was because I would fly CO much more than I would stay at any specific hotel.

My traveling habits have changed though, and now I'm staying at Marriott basically every trip, while my choice of airlines has become more variable.

So, I've got a bunch of Marriott stays where the points were automatically rolled into OnePass miles. And now I want to undo that. When I talked to MR, they said they can't do it and that I need to talk to *A to get them to undo it. Then, when I talked to OnePass, they told me that Marriott needs to send the request for *A to delete the miles and undo it, and that Marriott should speak to their "liaison with Continental" to make the request.

Has anyone gone through this before? Is it possible to undo the transfer?

I'm trying to book a stay at a Marriott, and the extra MR points would be rather helpful. Any advice would be appreciated!
My guess is no to undoing the transfer. You should change your earning preferences from miles to MR points in your account.
