The reality is that unless you get shut down by the FAA (Valujet) for being unsafe, this factor isn't driving purchasing decisions to any degree of significance.
RJ flying is rapidly decreasing anyway and will virtually disappear if oil stays this high. If ALPA wants to bring that flying in-house they need to agree to reasonable pay rates for Q400s and E175s/190s.
Don't agree that RJ flying is rapidly decreasing, it should be, but isn't so far.
ALPA came in and said we'd fly the E-190 at JetBlue rates. Company reply....."crickets chirping".
