I think she gave you confusing information by making several assumptions. The rates you are getting through the PS website after logging in with your Wizard # shouldn't be any different than what you would get on the regular AVIS website, provided the AWD code you are using and everything else is the same.

That being said, many people may have a corporate AWD attached to their wizard #. When I first got my wizard #, it was through my corporate travel dept. Any reservations I made or when my actual card was swiped at the AVIS counter had that corp AWD defaulted on my reservation. Sometimes that AWD gave higher rates than I could have gotten on my own with a different AWD or no AWD at all (especially for weekend rentals which tend to have lower rates). The problems occurred when I wanted to use AVIS for personal rentals. See

At the time I needed that AWD attached to my profile to be covered by insurance for a business car rental. Since I no longer work at that job and now only use AVIS for personal rentals, I removed the corp AWD from my profile on-line.

Since you have your wizard# set up for your personal use, you should not have any specific AWD attached to your profile. That way you can shop rates and still get your PS benefits. The agent probably didn't know that though and assumed that the AWD on your reservation was also attached to your wizard #.
