My two pence
In my view, shirts from Lewin and Hawes & Curtis are cheap for a reason, they are of average quality, don't wash that well and fray quickly and easily.
Charles Tyrwhitt are a little more expensive but seem to last longer. They represent a good balance between price and quality.
I have some shirts from Pink and several from Ede & Ravenscroft which are excellent but at a price.
Instead, I now have my shirts made by 'A suit that fits' who do five bespoke shirts for £250 which is similar to Pink/E&R prices but certainly a better fit for me, a short man with a slightly expanding waistline.
