Chase 5% cash back with AARP is the best for 6 months. Then get the card for the other partner. Nothing beats after tax 5% cash back.

Once you have exhausted Chase, then get an Amex Gold Card or Plat card or an SPG card. The Gold gives you 20k bonus after 50k spend, Plat gives you 5k miles each month you cross 10k in spend = 60k free miles.
