That would be correct. As an amputee, I was subjected to this at MSP over Christmas. Several points: 1) they did let me see the images (I thought they would refuse), and she let me watch her push the "delete" key, fwiw. 2) They honored my request that the curtain in front of the xray area remain open and in full view of the public. (This also surprised me.) 3) My prosthesis has no computer components to it, but I highly doubt that either of the women who screened me would have been able to tell, from those images, the difference between a C-leg and a bomb. 4) Due to the length and location of my prosthesis, I ended up
straddling the xray machine, with xrays directed right up my crotch, in order for them to get all the "necessary" images. My comments regarding my future fertility were not appreciated. 5) One of the women asked me, "So it starts up there, does it go all the way down to your foot?" (No, the surgeons just cut out the middle part of my leg and left the rest.

This is among the many reasons why I will not be flying again anytime in the near future...
