In the dead of winter, I guess I would prefer to be three blocks closer to where I was going...but, location should NOT be a differentiating factor when deciding between these two hotels.

If you are Platinum, I think you would get a better overall experience at the Sheraton for the reasons I list. YMMV.

Agreed. Although I'd say it's closer to 7-10 minute walk from one to the other, and the Sheraton is .7 miles (walking) from Fenway Park, while the Westin is 1.1 mile (walking) from Fenway Park, which is about 50% further.
