Thanks for your thoughts and feedback, I'm definitely going to push for a refund as I am getting nowhere trying to book dates. (Whenever I speak to them, they tend to give me one option around three months in the future - no option to make it later or earlier, so it's impossible to work with.)

The offer was definitely SPG branded. In fact, I didn't realize it was a separate company until well after I paid.
