Thanks for your support, i agree how toxic can a food colour be? but apparently they have sent a chemist in to the container and he has deemed the substance to be damaging if inhaled so the entire contents of the container are to be incinerated!! First Luggage cannot clarify if the contents have yet been incinerated but they claim they are unable to stop it from happening. I wish i could go in and get my belongings out myself!! all my items inside the luggage were individually wrapped in plastic bags so i honestly think that the contents will be fine. I have some very precious irreplaceable items in there, not necessarily of huge value but certainly of great sentimental value. I have emailed BA customer services to see if they can intervene but its a bank holiday weekend so i dont suppose any one has even read my message yet. I really feel sick about the whole thing it has totally ruined what should have been a fantastic holiday!! if i could just get my things back i would draw a line under this entirely stressful experience!!
