Good thing the airline wasn't serving rice. I would have pulled out the little baggie of KimChi. So true OP. What a jerk. Whenever I buy food to eat on the plane I always poll everyone in the gate and make sure that I will not offend anyone's sensibilities with my food selection.
Maybe the airport should restrict selling smelly foods. I imagine, it can be a problem with most flights, passengers frequenting smelly food restaurants.
