Hi Beckles,
The way it works is you search for the best deal that you can get, using whatever AWD you choose. The "Mini-Lease" than drops $20. per month for the 1st (4) months and than holds at that price. I rent an intermediate at $645 and get upgraded to full size via "preferred select". Right now I'm paying $585 plus taxes and driving a nice Aurora. I put on about 3k miles a month and they never say a word. Where I live we have a property tax on cars that is about $1200 per year. My insurance would run about another $1200 per year, so I'm saving about $200 a month, to apply the the extra cost of leasing. The only thing I always worry about is if I will have a problem with insurance in the event of an accident. The fact that a mini lease is actually (11) 30-day contracts keeps me within the Diners Club guidelines (I hope). Still sound ok to you?
