Since I'm flying into SFO next weekend, I just looked into that. For a compact car renting from Hertz SFO or Marriott the rate is $22.96/day, using the AAA discount. However, renting from SFO entails an additional $12.00 for "Transportation fee for using common busing".

Save time and save money? Don't think I'll ever rent from Hertz SFO again! Anyone know if there's a non-airport Avis facility near SFO?
