Same response as other posters; IF your inbound is on time, generally no problems.
The last 2 trips through DTW I've had 10 minutes to get from one end of A to the middle or end of C.
This past Wednesday, I actually got the gate agent at C14 to walk down the jetway [under protest] to ask to re-open the flight since they had not pushed. "What do you have to lose by asking, I asked." I was grateful to the crew, who agreed, and conveyed my thanks when deplaning.
Delta assures you that "we know you're delayed", but it seems the gate pretends not to know this.
I'm going to start watching my connection times more closely in DTW since I have a case of exercise-induced asthma, and as a result of the sprint, I cough the entire trip home on many of those little commuter flights.
I'm in CLE, and although not a fan of ATL, there are many more options for reasonable connections, so it's also an option I explore more thoroughly now.
