I like SGS also but even more the pool of the ROS in the garden of the Portuguese embassy - this might not be the most beautiful pool, but the surrounding lavish garden and the breeze from the river Chao Praya makes it the perfect location to "arrive" in BKK and tropical conditions (temperature + humidity)
