Thursday I was in 4F on a MD-80, the lady in 4D said she'd really like to sit next to her husband who was in 7D. I told her politely that I was sure the person in 7E would be more than happy to change with her. She got really upset, but not enough to leave F. Too bad.

Am I reading this right? She expected you to switch from F to Y? I'm all for switching seats to put people together and don't understand people who aren't willing to make a change for the same to accommodate such, but switching cabins sounds totally ridiculous.
