You can transfer 100,000 miles to one person, in 25,000 mile increments. You can confirm this by calling if you want to, but as far as I know, you can do it as fast as you can type the keys - probably about 10 seconds between transfers.
A word of warning: Points.com (which runs the programs) will quite possibly decline your card on the 4th consecutive transaction. They lie and tell you that your card was declined, when in fact they do not submit the 4th transaction to the processor, having unilaterally decided that this might be a series of fraudulent transactions. This has happened to me on the two occasions that I've transferred 100K miles, yesterday and 2-3 years ago. Kinda ridiculous when they make you do 4 separate transfers so they can screw you out of the $30 processing fee 3 extra times.
