AA is currently running a temporary promo on transferred miles. This promo has relaxed the normal rules and lowered the price. At the end of the promo, normal rules (reflected in the FAQ) apply.
You can transfer 100,000 miles to one person, in 25,000 mile increments. You can confirm this by calling if you want to, but as far as I know, you can do it as fast as you can type the keys - probably about 10 seconds between transfers.
