Hello all,

I'm looking for the cheapest way to get to BOM. Searching the various travel sites, I'm getting a fare of ~US$2000 for dates around 12/20-1/5. I'm flexible, in that I can leave from SEA/YVR or BUF/NYC/YYZ, but the fares seem to be roughly the same.

I would ideally like to travel in J/C, but not for $5000 (I'm on a student budget, but I have some money saved and am willing to splurge if it's ~$3000-3500ish).

Is there any more cost effective way to get to BOM? If I were to check out a RTW fare, would this help me? (If I go this route, I will of course add stopovers...) If so, which country would be the cheapest starting point?
