Finally caught up on this lounge thread... unfortunately it was the shorter of the two (both in time covered and post count... I only had 10 days to catch up on, versus 17 in the other).
Let's get you up to speed since the HoM DO!
Monday - After making the
miracle connection with
JY1024 (yeah, we're awesome like that), I spent the flight studying for a test that I ultimately missed the mark on (didn't fail, but it firmly entrenched me with a C for the course, oh well). After the exam, I drove (5 hours) to Houston.
Tuesday - I got my Brazilian visa. Much easier than expected... it only took 15 minutes. Have a fancy sticker to prove it now, and am permitted multiple entries for up to 90 days at a time, 180 per year, through April 2022. Sweet! Drove home (4.25 hrs - tailwind... or something like that

), went to sister's softball game, where they secured a playoff berth and I recruited a FlyerTalker.
Wednesday - School. Lots of it. Blegh. Met with my business plan group who finally realized that our business plan isn't profitable. Lots of OH S&*† moments. The next couple of weeks will be fun. Not.
Thursday - Sister's birthday! She had a sleepover. They played Kinect and watched movies and the like. As for me, I slept! Finally! 11 AM (or thereabouts) marked the longest time I'd been in the same place in more than two weeks - at 45 hours! Home until Thursday when I go to Orlando for one last hurrah with the gang before we part ways until next year. Mixed emotions... I've grown closer to existing friends, and made many new ones.
Friday - Tying up loose ends day. Got paid (yay). Found out another payment will be late (not yay), but will be made up for with sizable interest (super yay). The softball team lost a game they shouldn't have (gave the opponents their first district win THIS SEASON - 1-13 record), now we play tomorrow to battle for 3rd place seed in playoffs. Ugh.
And that's about it!
====================================
This is AWESOME. This is exactly how I want to do it when the time comes. Bravo to you, good sir.
Off to catch up in the other Lounge™!

Almost forgot to add... I have a good friend who lives in STL. Several of her friends and family sustained damage to their homes, and one had a car parked at Lambert that is almost certainly destroyed, but thankfully nobody's hurt - which is what really matters. Daylight will bring some interesting news, for sure.
Hope those of you with friends/family in STL heard similar good news.
