Thanks... That's exactly the type of info that I was looking for. That view doesn't seem to be that bad at all. The Obstructed View room that we had on the Star Princess was truly OBSTRUCTED and I would never recommend somebody take the rooms on the Star Princess that has the larger life boat outside it. You got sunlight, but that was about all. We saw the ocean through maybe a 4' high window through the lifeboat. Princess's deck plans are pretty much true to life with the size of the life boat depicted, but the deck plans on Carnival's web site show all lifeboats being the same size.
