At this point the programs are pretty close to being merged without actually having the same name. Miles can be moved between the two programs and EQMs are being aggregated between the two. Upgrade reciprocity exists if you don't want to link your accounts.
How do I move my CO OnePass Miles to my UA Mileage Plus Account?

Is it a good idea to leave 1 mile in my CO OnePass Account so that the account continue to exist and hopefully, one day, my CO OnePass lifetime miles gets merged into my UA M+ lifetime miles?

Delta and Northwest sure made it simple. They had a web site where you entered your DL# and your NW#, making a link between the two. Then on some magic day, they did a sweep and brought your NW miles into your DL account. I sure wish CO/UA would have done that.
