I applied today for an amex plat, and i read this:
Shop Like a Local
Now, use your Platinum Card abroad without the foreign transaction fees many other cards charge. No matter what country you're in, you can save on fees while enjoying protections for your purchases.
of course is ONLY for the US card.

I have a Swiss amex gold charge card and I have 2.5% fee, with my bank of america accelerated reward, I just have 1% fee! What I think is really good! (same with US virgin airlines amex).

Now just need to wait to get my new card! Not sure if the Priority Club is a really great feature... :s
