Hello from Ohio...

Does anyone know what happens points-wise if using Amex Premier Rewards card (double miles at grocery stores) to buy Visa or Mastercard giftcards from Giant Eagle? Will this purchase show as a grocery store purchase since I got them aty Giant Eagle? Would I need to have a grocery item on the receipt to trick the total into thiking it's grocery related?

I have to pay a landscaper to do a major project for me, and He'll let me give him mastercards for the value of project and he'll get supplies that way, so I want the double points if possible via Amex...Also get double fuel perks too!
