I would suggest consent is coerced since we neither have factual understanding of the rules and not accepting prevents a person from exercising their right to travel.
I'll agree with that. My understanding of the process is that by attempting to enter the sterile area, the individual is agreeing to any and all administrative techniques deemed necessary by the TSA. No search techniques are mandatory... the passenger has the option of terminating the attempt to enter the sterile area.
