I had my first bad Alamo "event" 2 weeks ago
at las. I use quicksilver so I don't ever get the line... I got my stall number walked to it did a walk around .. Front window was cracked not just chiped it had about three 4 inch cracks. The left quarter panel and hood had yellow paint and the rear bumper has a dent... I was in a hurry so I figure I would have the booth person fill out the damage and then I would call later and exchange the car..I climed in and there was a burn hole in the carpet and one on the seat. I looked at the miles and they were at 12,000. That's the higest I have ever gotten on a rental I think! I drive up to the booth 3 booths have people sitting in them doing who knows what
no other cars are around. After about 3 min. I lay on the horn until the lady climbs out of the booth and starts waving me to pull up. She says to me " we have work to do in here you know" I said in a nice way that's good it must help the day go by faster. Any way.. I tell her about the damage and she said it is not part of her job to report damage. She then tells me if I want to report it I need to go inside and tell CS.
I back up, go in and no one is at the quicksilver desk. I walk over to CS and NO one is there! 1 guy is waiting for CS and says he has not seen anyone for a few min.
No one is at the info desk either... weird
so. People were in line and all of the agents were busy so.. I just had to open the employees only door !!! They were all on dougnut break at the same time! Bad move on my part because the lady that came out was NOT happy. She was rude to the first guy
and then she was no prize to me but she gives me a new car and guess what she downgraded me to the smallest car I have ever seen ! lol back in to see her and
she said ohhhhh I am sooooo sorrry, takes her time and then gives me another stall number. That car was fine..
That was my only problem with Alamo ever and
it makes me think about switching but I will give it a second chance when I go back to LAS in May.
